Reading National Geographic Journey into China presents the then powerful Qin's hue of ancient sanity. Although Hitler and the likes of Alexander were hated, revered. I felt Qin's (Daoming Chen) strength in character when he came face to face with Nameless. I think the best moment of the movie was when Qin exposed the latter's flaws in defeating his enemies.
The movie exemplifies violent grace in all fighting scenes. I love the shots in Donnie Yen (Sky) and Jet Li's (Nameless) fight scenes. The visualization was a masterpiece and it's simply mind over matter thing plus the music; meditation in action. I like how the film touches man's primitive emotions- love, fear and conquest. Powerful and timeless.
